I made a trade - it was about about a $30 value on both ends. both were mail at the same time about 3/25/24

Person A mailed non machineable (pictures at the post office of the envelope with the receipt), but nothing has showed up yet.

Person B mailed it bmwt and that did arrived 04/06/24

How do you compensate for what USPS has obvioulsy screwed up? Person A can return the cards, but then Person A is out the cards and double postage. It seems person A is out in the long run no matter the situation.

TOUGH ONE TO FIGURE OUT.

I'd suggest waiting a couple of weeks. I've had 2 packages in the last few months take almost 6 weeks to arrive. The usps really sucks lately. One was even sent bubble with tracking. Thing was mailed from Minnesota with a kansas destination and sat in Washington for some reason for almost 9 days with no movement. When you watch where a package goes via tracking, it's no wonder they get lost. There's no reason for the path they go. I sent one to @crazyderik and it literally showed up almost a year llater. It was insane.

I agree with waiting just a bit longer. I mailed 2 nonmachinable envelopes to CA. Was told postage was fine by my PO! They were returned for postage due ( I think 19 cents) after over a month after I mailed them.

I work at the post office and i can tell you things are jacked. They are trying to build a whole new network but while doing it things are getting delayed while logistics are being set up. Its going to take at least 2 years to get all the facilities in line if even that soon

I sold a card for $1.50 at the end of March and apparently it took 3 weeks to show up. It will most likely reappear.

I had a trade show up 1.5 years later in a usps bag with a “i’m sorry” note. Opened it up and it has been destroyed by belts, ran over, and marshall faulk and steve young autographs were destroyed

I Retired from the usps over 20 years ago and watched it go down hill more & more over the years. With help wanted signs outside on the grass. Now after home delivery its like Cheers, I have to return mail for my neighbors that got delivered in my box. I think all the new guys are named Cliffy. Hope you have good neighbors. This story is all true. Good luck

i had an interesting experience with our postal system 2 years ago in the toronto area.
i was awaiting cards from a trade and it was taking a while.
i was surprised to find a letter in my mailbox delivered to a wrong address (my was #584). i was getting sick of redelivering mail our postie was kinda elderly. but trying to be a good person i put on my shoes and walked down the block to give them their mail. i knocked on the door. - no answer so i opened their mailbox and went to drop in their mail and sitting on top of a bunch of mail was the package i was waiting for! i lived at #548. couldnt believe it - it was right on top or i never would of noticed it. i scooped it up rather quickly looking around suspiciuosly because of mail crimes. i got home feeling pretty good about myself kinda paying it forward so to speak and then got to wondering if those same people would of bothered to redeliver my mail to me. its only a block away.
i would like to think they would of but ......
God works in mysterious ways - makes me see things i would of missed. and in case anyone doubts it this is a true story
