I have noticed several cards with asterics next to them. Does anyone know what they mean? Here are a few examples:

Lou Gehrig 1948 Topps Magic Photos #K14 Lou Gehrig - - - $350.00
Lou Gehrig 1948 Topps Magic Photos *#K14 Lou Gehrig - - - n/a

Lou Gehrig1963 Gad Fun Cards #5 Lou Gehrig - - - $5.00
Lou Gehrig1963 Gad Fun Cards #43 Lou Gehrig/23 - - - $5.00
Lou Gehrig1963 Gad Fun Cards * #5 Lou Gehrig - - - $5.00
Lou Gehrig1963 Gad Fun Cards * #43 Lou Gehrig/23 - - - $5.00

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dewayne,
The * usually signifies that the set is a multisport set. There could be another reason for it also, but in my experience, that's been the reason.

That might be it. I sent a question to beckett months ago but still have not received a response. I just thought it was odd that they are listed twice as above for the same card.

Take care,
Dewayne
