In my 25 years of collecting cards I have not seen such luck with big pulls until I opend a very very small shop in Northern Wisconsin. I have been open 2 months yeseterday and since there have been 4 1/1's pulled and a bunch of "Item has no pricing" pulls. I think it's great to see people get cards they want!

I love my new job and hope to be able to continue to grow in the hobby and help the younger generation with their collections, becuase the truth is; without them there is no future for my business.

Here is a link to the album of some of the big pulls so far yesterday's pulls not on their yet.

how far are you from Sheboygan? I'll be there next week for work (though not sure how much down time I will have). - Erik

5-6 hours from Sheboygan. I am right up on the south shore of lake superior.

Are you near Northland College? My cousin goes to school there.

Yes, I am near northland college, like 10 blocks north, next to cold fusion. If, they go to northland they know where cold fusion is. WOW...small world!

Sweet, maybe you can get a local newspaper to do a write-up, and I'd definately send that in to beckett reader submissions, or whatever that section for sick pulls is called. Its like the convience store that sells the winning lottery ticket, everyone wants to buy from there cause thats where the lucky ticket came from. Same thing could happen with your store, if you get word out in the area that your boxes have yielded hits on a higher avg then much bigger shops. You could really sell some serious ammount of boxes.

That's a good idea, never thought of that before! Thank you!

Best of luck with the business

Always glad to see real customers getting the sweet pulls from a true hobby store.

Sweet pull on that Beckham Superfractor. How much old product do you sell? I was surprised some of it seemed older - like the AP. I wonder if an AP collector has been waiting for that to hit the market.

I sell quite a bit of older product. I order product based on what my customers collect! So, if someone wants to try and pull an Aaron Rodgers RC Autograph I get 2005 stuff. 2005 Product is one of my biggest sellers. The only problem is the REDEMPTIONS that have expired. If a customer pulls an expired redemption I let them choose an Autograph or Game Used from my collection.

Congrats ! and best wishes for the success of your store !

There used to be more than a dozen card stores here but now there's only one and 99% of their business is on the internet.

GOOD LUCK !!

Thank you! I appreciate it! There was a card shop here about 10yrs ago but, they went out of biz.

I am currently doing well, flipping boxes enough to keep the lights on and pay the shop bills, but no profits yet. I don't expect to make a ton of money the first year, but it sure is fun! I love the hobby, always have!

Someone once told me, I could not be a collector and a dealer at the same time. Well, I've only busted 4 boxes since I've been open and all the cards went on the shelf or ebay, nothing for my PC. We have trade nights every thursday and that is when I get cards for my PC.

Any suggestions are welcome! Thank you everyone for all the positive feedback!
