Wife picked up a couple of Heritage blasters to use the coupons that were in the Target blaster boxes for Series I...kids and I had fun opening, though we don't really collect anymore.

On the Grandal what are the last 2 digits on the code on the bottom of the card? The base ends in 53 the variations and planned errors have different #'s.

I know that Topps usually uses the code at the bottom of the card to indicate intentional variations, but I am guessing the Grandal is an UER. The code does end in a "53".

One thing of note, though is that the "Bubble Gum" backs all end in "53", so Topps is by no means perfect in their numbering schemes.

I pulled two of the Grandal cards from hobby boxes and they both have the same error, so I have to agree that it's going to be uncorrected. Good eyes though Sandman, I hadn't noticed it.
