They are getting ridiculous with the prices,

Only two base cards....100 players in the set......Need at least 50 boxes...or $20,000.00! How are u going to build the base set...when all the buyers will be waiting at least $50.00 to $100.00 to recoup their losses : ) Best regards, David

12 boxes per case. $4,750. That's almost $100 per card. If Topps wants to charge more to fewer buyers, I think their making a mistake.

I'm not going buy a box.....but I'm thinking about building that base set....but only if I can get the base cards for less than $20.00!! Best regards, David

But if the base cards are ugly...then I won't do it....my rule is if I don't like it trade it.....love it then collect it. Best regards, David

That is a good rule!! I may try and scoop up a single or two of certain players, but this one is out of my wheelhouse for sure. Feels like this was designed specifically for breakers. Buy a box for $400. Charge $15/$20 a slot for the 30 teams, and for those that buy in, basically spinning the roulette wheel.

I think its time that MLB took away Topps contract to be the only one to do baseball cards...and allow two other companies to come in ......tried of their on line ordering where only the people with the money and time get all of the good stuff......getting Finest box for $55.00 and then turnin around and selling for three times its worth.....or in the hobby.....reducing the amount of cards in half for bowman chrome .....(120 to 60)...and then almost doubling the cost.....oh and u get two auto's instead of one....and retail stuff....Last time I got any from Target, Walgreen or Walmart....was over 2 years ago.....People fighting over the product at stores......it will only get worse.......Topps does not have to listen to us as their the only company......Notice more and more members buying Panini products. (give them a license to product MLB cards)....and then limit these three companies to only 9 products per year.....3 must be low end products.....3 middle class and 3 high end......end of rant for now. Best regards, David

I went to the hobby store yesterday to get some storage boxes. The owner was standing outside so I didn't go into the store. He said all of his supplies have been sold out through on-line orders. He said a box of card savers normally goes for $22 was up to $60. Just what we need, a perceived supply shortage. We will have to see how real that is. I'm betting when I go back to get those boxes in the future, the price will be a lot more.

Seems now day ....if u want to collect.......be sure to have deep pockets.....or start collecting Pokeman cards or nothing at all...on the good side.....I'm eating better.....Only been to McDonalds a few times and only for coffee as their restrooms are closed.....Never buy at places that don't have their restrooms closed...Shop at Target, Win co , In and out ...all places that do have their restroom open....as u get older its important! Best regards, David

Good news....Beckett is going to start making top loaders.......the major of them come from China! This is good news....I don't care if they cost more.....worth it to see the made in the USA label on them! Best regards, David
