I got about 50 late 70s RC Cola cans with MLB players on them I got from my dad cleaning out his stuff. If anyone is interested let me know. I know very little about these, but am looking for information.

Hey Dewayne...........These are the 1977 RC Cola cans; the best one you have is this one.........

1977 RC Cola Cans #9 George Brett $15

According to Beckett, there are 70 different ones..........Here's what they say about the set..........

"This 70-can set features black-and white player head photos in white circles measuring 2 1/2" in diameter with no insignia on their caps indicating RC didn't pay the teams for the rights to reproduce their logos. The player's name was printed in red and player information was printed in black in a rectangle below the picture. The cans are unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order. Cans opened from the bottom are worth twice the prices below."

Hope this helps...........Mike

p.s..........I have a few of these also, picked up along side of the road as a misspent youth............

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. My dad had a ton of older stuff: magazines, cans, etc. Anything paper was pretty much ruined, but the cans are in good condition. There can't be much of a market for them, but I'll see if I can trade them locally.

Possibly, Dewayne...........I remember picking them up in Paintsville, KY, Johnson County...........Maybe they were a regional thing...........My Dad grew up there and we would go down there every Memorial Day...........
