Hi everyone,

Glad to be here. I used to collect baseball cards as a kid and the realities of life got in the way so I stopped collecting, I'm getting back into the hobby thanks to watching Youtubers rip boxes of cards during my breaks at work. I like to watch MLB, NFL and NBA. I didn't watch much NHL, but I recently went to a Hershey Bears game and that was exciting. My favorite player growing up was Cal Ripken Jr, who got me into baseball. I remember watching the 2130 game on TV. My dad has always been a Mickey Mantle fan so he likes the Yankees. I remember my dad taking me and my cousins to Yankee games when they played the Orioles. I eventually rooted for Derek Jeter and it was a tradition to go to 1 Yankees game a year since 1998 but I remember watching the 1996 playoffs on TV at home with my dad. One time we were in a suite and I got to meet Mariano Rivera in person who autographed a baseball for me, I still might have a picture of it if anyone's interested. Now I cheer for the Phillies. I've always liked Bryce Harper and when he was a free agent, I told myself I'll like the Phillies if he signs with them and he did. I've always been a Philadelphia Eagles fan for NFL. I grew up watching McNabb, Westbrook and Brian Dawkins. The Peyton Manning/Tom Brady rivalries were also fun to watch. I was happy when Tom Brady retired but now I can't wait for Patrick Mahomes to retire. For NBA, I grew up watching Kobe and Allen Iverson. Lebron James was good when he started out but now seems to be a crybaby. I might watch NHL if the Flyers are on, I might start watching Matvei Mitchkov play. I'll also have to learn how to add cards I own to an album online, does anyone know where to start and should I scan the cards with a printer or upload pictures from my phone? I'll also need to get a profile picture for something Philly related. I also enjoyed the trading video but I'll mostly probably be buying singles of specific players and team sets. I can't wait to get off the bench and put me in coach!

Hi Darin -

Welcome to the Bench! Happy Trading!

I'm a big Philadelphia sports fan myself. I see you are in Lebanon. I grew up in Pottstown, my family then moved to Reading, but I've lived down here in NC for many years now. I loved going to Reading Phillies game and go to one every year when I go up to visit family each summer.

Go Phillies/Flyers/Eagles/Sixers!!!

Welcome to The Bench Darin. I scan my cards on a printer because I think it provides a more accurate image. But it takes much more time than to do it by phone. I would think most people do it by phone. If your doing a lot of cards, I would go with the phone.

Welcome to The Bench! I lived in Lebanon for about a year around 1984! I'll bet that town has changed drastically over the 4 decades. I absolutely loved that area and would have loved to have stayed there but I was transfered to New Jersey. I was on a 7 day on/mom and pop 7 day off schedule and I used to hit every store and flea market on the off week and just loaded up on cards. I was always on the lookout for Mattingly RCs back thern and I knew all the runs front and back for his rookie card so I opened quite a few cellos and racks getting his RC.

I had some friends up here that were Pennsylvania Dutch and was also a big basketball fan so I knew all about Lebanon Boloney and Sam Bowie before I ever came there. LOL

Hope you are able to make many successful trades here.
