It is that time again - The Philly Show. As of right now, my Saturday is completely clear of any activities, so planning on getting there early and staying late.

Philly show crushed it again!

Knocked out my 1975 set. Knocked out my 1974 set. Took a nice sized chunk out of my 1973 set.

Details to come later, now I just want a beer and some dinner....and possibly some vitamin C, because man there are some disgusting people in this world!!

Try Airborne......Those Philly folks can be that way, trust me.......

Based on the jerseys I saw on people, it wasn't just Philly folks! :)

I love going to shows because of the ability to pickup what I need - just wish there was a way to do it without other people around!!

All the little tween cardboiz with their card briefcases trying to flip cards booth to booth. People who smell like they either haven't showered in a week or just smoked a pack of filterless Pall Malls (or both). And I absolutely love dealers that set their lunch down on their cards and than pick the onions off right before asking you what cards you would like to look at. Other than that, it was great!

Lots of guys with vintage, both books of commons and display cases of star cards. Guys that were strictly memorabilia, guys that were strictly graded, guys that were strictly a sport other than baseball, guys that were strictly modern -- didn't even need to waste my time at those booths. Stayed within budget and actually came home with some cash left in my pocket. My goal was to finish my 1975 set and if time allowed, finish my 1974 set. Both were achieved, so now it is on to 1973 (which I actually picked up a couple dozen of my needs)

Overall - the pluses outweighed the minuses!
