Have you ever put that last card into your set and thought "Let me just double check real quick" and found out there was another card missing. I just acquired #1 Mike Trout for 2014 Topps and I did just this and turns out I didn't have #263 Doug Fister..... Have no idea how this happens to me.:ROFLMAO:

This seems like the hobby equivalent of the Dryer ate my sock, who knows where it went.

So when I get Doug Fister, should I check again? lol

You are not alone with that problem. With as many sets I am working on, it happens to me ALL the time no matter how careful I am making out my want lists.

The most recent time this happened to me was with a 1989 Upper Deck set where I discovered that I was missing one card and I had even scratched off the number on the physcial want list I keep with my sets. Was it the Griffey RC? no, I have plenty of those, and I would not have started a set of those without that card anyways. . It was the Bryan Harvey RC and I had a heck of a time finding someone who had one for trade until this week. It was like I was chasing the '52 Topps Mantle as no one seemd to have it!

I do know of one member here who suffers from this affliction more than I do but I'll neer mention Chieftazmisty by name!!
It truly is uncanny for me. It's like there is a troll that just randomly opens my sets and takes 1 card out to mess with me. Even my kids would not think to do this. LOL
