With 970 career receptions and a bunch of seasons with over 100 catches, I'm shocked he isn't in the HOF.
BTW I just read today that the oldest living NFL player died in early August. An original Cowboy too. Billy Howton passed away in early August at age 95. Weird because outside of your Jerry Tubs collection I took particular note of your 1961 Fleer card of his yesterday as I am partial to that set. And I had no iea he was the oldest living NFL player or that he had just passed away.

Well when it comes to the 970 career receptions and not being in the HOF, I was speaking of Brandon Marshall. I just added the unrelated part about ex Cowboy Billy Howton being the oldest living NFL player until he passed away in August. You have a 1961 Fleer and 1963 Topps card of him posted in the Vintage Cowboys Flicker.
Ooohhh ya i got the Marshall reference. Should have gotten the Howton one as well. He was pretty good throughout his career. Posting consistent numbers in all the seasons he played... even with Dallas when they were bottom feeders of the league.
As Marshall goes... his personality is going to be what keeps him out of the HOF. Even though there's a medical reason for his outbursts, I doubt the voters will think that's a legitimate reason for the way he acted. Someone who can relate, I think it's a shame...
