I have exactly one 1988-89 OPC Mini to my name and it has been sitting right here next to my computer for months. #33 Patrick Roy which you need. I did not even have to go look for it!Just updated my wants adding 75-76 Topps and 88-89 OPC Minis. As always, looking for any Mario Lemieux I don't have for my PC. Currently interested in trading for some Martin Brodeur and Jack Hughes cards and Hellebuyck autos and memo cards.
Thanks, Larry
Thanks for the info on those Lemieux RCs. We traded a little over a year ago and I know what condition you are looking for. I traded you a bunch of those ear;ly 70s Topps Booklets and some other older cards.Topps is $300 and OPC is $400....condition sensitive of course. The mini Roy books $5.00. For the 75-76 Topps I'm looking for cards with no wax, no creases, good edges and corners, and somewhat respectable centering.
PLMK, thank you Larry
You are correct I put the wrong year. The Scouts Team card is 1975-76 which you need.I just brought up 74-75 Topps 88 and it shows as Hammarstrom not KC Scouts team card. Maybe different year? And you are right about the blast from the past!!
Couldn't agree more about the broken up sets. And of course you are painfully correct about trying to put those sets together. Going to send you a PM we can use as we work to finalize a trade. You are correct I put the wrong year. The Scouts Team card is 1975-76 which you need.
I had to look up who the Scouts are now and they are the New Jersey Devils by way of Colorado. They only lasted 2 seasons in KC which surprised me.
Thanks for the info on the 1980-81 issues. The unscratched ones are so unsightly that I thought the prices might be the same. Topps came up with some AWFUL ideas in the early 80s trying to drum up interest for their basketball and hockey sets. In 81-82 they did the National/East/West thing for both sports with an additional Midwest set for basketball. Terrible idea since you had to be in different parts of the country to get the sub sets. Not an easy thing to do in1981!!! And the worst was the 1980-81 basketball with the 3 card panels and several different ways to put together a complete set. Putting together a set of those without guides like they have now was like trying to solve the Rubix Cube!
Some of Topps "brilliant" innovations in the early 80s even had New Coke shaking its' head! LOL
