2025 Topps Chrome Football

Just curious, Was anyone on here successful at landing one of the 2025 Topps Chrome Hobby Boxes from the Topps (EQL) website last week?

I was able to get in and "secure my one hobby box" within about 6 minutes after the flood gates opened. All were sold out within 10 or so minutes. Sadly, I got my "DECLINED" email about 3-4 hours after. Luckily at the same time that I ordered the hobby box, I ordered 1 MEGA box. The MEGA box was a confirmed entry.
If I knew I was gonna get declined on the hobby, I would have bought 2 MEGAS. I'm happy with the one.

I haven't looked lately, but as soon as I saw the decline email, I went to eBay to see what these boxes were going for. $750 for hobby, and $120 for MEGA. holy crap!!!

What was your experience?

No experience whatsoever with any of this.... but did Topps get their NFL license back so we can get "real" cards again?
 
Ahhhh..... maybe in a couple years we can buy blasters at walmart again! Lol
 
I tried for both and couldn’t get either. Had the mega in my cart but got an error that they couldn’t ship to my address. I buy a bunch from the Topps site so think they were just overloaded.
 
Friend of mine at work tried getting a mega and he got that same address issue as you did. He changed the address to his friends house, and it went through

Every Walmart I go to has pulled their cards from shelves. Closest Target is in Little Rock 2 hours away... Topps may do something like Panini with Family Dollar. Absolute Retail, Score, Donruss, Prestige, Zenith Retail are the football cards I've bought there... 5 cards per pack. Usually 1 RC per pack. Absolute Retail, Score, and Donruss would have a random yollow/orange parallel in each pack... could be vet or Rookie. Packs are about 1.50 with tax. 2024 was a good year for those when that's all you can buy and rip immediately. Absolutely no chance at anything major, but '24 had a decent rookie class so they were fun. 2025 I haven't bought as much and that's probably good. But ya if Topps does that with a few of their low end stuff I'd get back into that. Haven't been to a Family Dollar in a while to check.
 
The rookie class of 2025 is rather weak. Like you said, 2024 was fun. Quite a few there.

I havent checked, bit possibly buy cards from targets website? Possibly free shipping??

By pure luck, I found two hanger boxes at Target on Tuesday. I was there for baseball but a guy at the aisle said football just came in. They had the boxes behind the counter, maybe because it was the day before the official release date.

Could u imagine being a collector and working at one of these stores?? I'd always be watching the card area to make sure there were enough blasters for when I got paid. Alot of those big corporations do direct deposit on payday... so I'd have my money on the ready! lol Or I'd act like I was organizing but really Id be trying to hide some of what I wanted for when when I got paid.
