Love the old unis although I think this is an older picture of Lillyas the Cowboys had reansitioned to the similar uniforms they use today.
the old Cowboy logo at the bottom right of the card is just awesome! I don't know if that was ever an official Cowboy logo or a Topps creation. Either...
Wow! There were a ton of players from Marquette mostly from the 20sthrough the 40s. THe one player besdies Andrie I recognized was Karl Kassulke who was a starting safety for those great Vikings defenses of the late 60/early 70s. His career was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident...
NICE! You and Scobes hit my Golden Age of Football cards with your posts today George Andrie is the only NFLer I know of that played college football at Marquette. I'm sure there have been others but Marquette was always a basketball school in my memory starting wiith the Al McGuire era.
I'll get back to you tomorrow evening with an additional need or two. If you send me your mailing addy, I can get the Woodson out tomorrow.
Here is the funny thing on that Wade Wilson card. You actually caught my typo on the 1991 Ultra want list. You noticed me duplicating #202 on my want...
I have a Woodson RC and it is #323.
We made a trade a few months ago and I "messed" up my 1991 Ultra Football want list. I made a typo and did not put #203 Wade Wilson on my list According to your site you look to still have this card and if you do, I need that to finish my set. So if you...
I meant to ask you what this item is. I think it has to do with the 25th Anniversary (Silver) All Time team since all these guys did not play/coach together at the same time. For instance Art Donovan's last year was 1961 and Don Shula did not become the Colts coach until 1963 which leads me to...
When I looked at that list the 2 blowouts in 1970 really stood out to me. I had to double check that and sure enough the Cowboys went to the ir first Super Bowl that year despite those two beatings. I never would have guessed that occured to that 1970 team!
For all you "countless ones" of COwboy fans in a deep depression today after that disaster against the Lions here is a ray of hope for you.
Here are the 10 worst losses for the Cowboys in their history.

So this is where the 1999-00 basketball cards were. I was wondering where they were since I cannot complete several sets from that year for the life of me. Here are my want lists for 99-00 basketball sets. If you have any, plese LMK and we'll work something out

Another great looking Topps offshoot issue! I hope this card books for over $100.
Are you getting this card graded? From the looks of it, I think I would. THere looks to be a slight flaw near the top left corner but if this card were a woman........oh never mind. You know the line...
Wow! That is avery nice item!! Glad to see a player who obviously appreciates the fans.
You previous post had me wondering what happened to him since he started out so well and then became rather obscure. He suffered an elbow injury in 1968 which forced him to change his throwing motion...
Believe it or not, I only officially learned how to pronounce Bob Veale's last name a few months ago. This year my small town had a confessed murderer with the same last name who the media consistantly pronounced as Vee-lay. That got me wondering if I had been mispronouncing his name...
A very early AFL card! Nice! Hard to believe there were two professional football teams in Dallas in the early 60s before the Texans moved to Kansas City and became the Chiefs. THere were the Texans of the AFL and....ummm.....I can't remember the NFL team's name but I think they are now a...
I never knew Mayo Smith managed the Phillies in the '50s until last night when my friend from college and I were talking about what happened with him with the TIgers. He managed them to the '68 World Series win and seemingly disappeared a couple of years later. My friend looked some stuff up...
For sure Luis Tiant was the most imitated pitcher by kids during his playing days because of his unique delivery where he would completely turn his back to the batter during his windup. Often imitated but never duplicated is a saying that really fits Luis Tiant.
Any time I see 196 Topps baseball cards they automaticlly get a thumbs up since it is the first baseball set I remember. And when they get grades like these, I'd give them a doubl;e thumbs up if this site had that option! Nice lot for sure!!
