I have the 1950 Bowman Trippi - not in the mood to dig it out and post it. That team also had Pat Harder, Paul Christman and Marshall Goldberg.

can you believe they were teammates! imagine what the Cubs would have been with Brock joining Banks, Santo, Williams and Jenkins. the other guys were pretty good too, Holtzman and Beckert and Kessinger and Hundley.

Willie Lanier puts me in mind of that KC Chiefs defense that had 6 HoF ! Lanier, Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Emmitt Thomas, Johnny Robinson, and Curley Culp.

The grading question got me to take a look at 130point for recent sales. Fleer Update Big Unit rc's are going for less than $2 raw. PSA 9's are going for $6-8. PSA 10's are going for $27-35. So getting a 9 is actually a loss, given that PSA charges $15-19 depending on the order, plus shipping...

Again, I was on the level. I was not in any way suggesting the auto is not authentic. I was just surprised by his signature, which looks like it ends with an L or a D but certainly not an N. I looked at a bunch of other autos on line - maybe he is ending his name by adding an 8. Sorry if you...

It was an honest question. I don't grade, but I try to follow trends in the hobby by watching a few different videos on the subject, Chris Sewall in particular. It often appears that if you get an 8 on junk wax era cards, there is no added value, whereas if you get a 10, there is definitely...
