I only noticed the Conquistadors a few years ago when I cam across one of the coolest cards of all time - Wilt Chamberlain as a Conquistador. They go for a lot, so I'm on the hunt for an affordable one.

I don't have doubles on that one, otherwise I would propose a trade. I only need six to complete the set. Mostly $$ ones.

That guy is a Canadian born pitcher who was with the Royals for 2 seasons. It's not the Milwaukee slugger.

Veale was an excellent pitcher through the 60s. Along with Bob Friend and Vern Law, those Pirates had a pretty good staff. I remember Veale because of his glasses. Not very many players wore glasses.

The problem with that team, and the reason you can't remember their name, is their owner does no publicity for himself. Also, they have had back to back under-performing quarterbacks for the last 20 years, who nobody really likes.

Thank you for checking. I have all of those. I'm only missing 15 of the '59s.

I'm working on completing these 2 sets. Any doubles you have that you might want to trade, maybe we can find some matches.

very nice. strong eye appeal due to excellent centering. the corners no doubt cost you a couple of grades, but no matter. finding a second year koufax at a reasonable price is fantastic.

He got hit in the face with a line drive, if I remember correctly. Came back from that, but only as a reliever.

I think this is my favorite card in the hobby. So much so I was using it as my avatar on The Bench for a few years.
