I remember when I was a kid I was so confused by the position designation. It just says End with no qualifier of Defense or Offense. There were Cornerbacks and Safeties that were designated Halfback (like Paul Krause or Jimmy Johnson), and you had Guards and Tackles (like Roger Brown or Bob...

Last Mays card during his playing career. I heard Rollie Fingers talking about Willie Mays a couple days ago. Mays' final appearance in baseball was against Fingers. He struck out the first AB, then hit a run-scoring single the 2nd AB. So Fingers got Willie's last strikeout, and gave up his...

In terms of resale value, you are absolutely right. For some reason, the hobby is beholden to PSA. In terms of grading accuracy, PSA is wildly random. From what I read, SGC is far more reliable when it comes to grading vintage.

Also, be aware that CSG is not a no name company. They are #4, behind PSA, SGC and Beckett, although admittedly a very small market share. Here's a video :

I think you have to look at it on a case by case basis. Brady won in TB, Manning won in Denver. Rice a Raider? No. Favre a Jet? No. Emmitt a Cardinal? No. Kurt Warner a Cardinal? Yes.

Griese, Csonka, Warfield, Langer, Larry Little, Buoniconti, Coach Shula, Marino, Dwight Stephenson, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor That's 11 who were mainly Dolphins. Plus Kuechenberg, who ought to be in (6x ProBowl). The count shouldn't be based on if someone played 1 year - Rivers and Ryan and Gore...
