    I think the wording is what's a little unclear. The "sparkle" cards got that name, as Jason said, for the "sparkle", or diamond glint somewhere in the picture. The "diamond border" cards are a lot easier to find. The entire border has a diamond look.

    Putting them in the freezer is an idea for un-sticking cards that were in older packs, I don't think that's a suggestion for uncurling cards.

    I would never send a follow up letter. Requesting an autograph through the mail never guarantees a response. Players respond as a favor, and we should assume we won't get an answer, not the other way around.

    In 1923, when Yankee Stadium opened, the grandstand ticket price was $1.10. It was $1.25 in 1945. I don't know when it went up to $1.45, but a grandstand stub at $1.10 could be as early as 1923 until the increase, which would have been no later than 1945, and probably earlier.
