    Super Bowl

Wondering who everybody is rooting for in the Super Bowl and who they think will win. I'm rooting for Peyton and the Broncos to win even though one of the Seahawks WR's played high school football here. I'm picking the Seahawks to beat Denver 27-24, but I hope I'm wrong.

    Computer question?

I really like the new wood grain look on the Bench board. But, since it started, I have only been able to read the 1st post of a thread, but no others. After the 1st thread it's just a long blank black column. I'm pretty sure it's my computer. If anyone has any idea's how to fix this please PM...

    Thome #612

Jim Thome hit career home run 612 tonight as the O's blasted the Blue Jays 12-2. O's hit 7 homers in the game to tie a franchise record. Manny Machado and Thome became the 1st AL teammates to hit home runs in the same inning and be more than 20 years apart in age. Thome started his MLB career 10...

    Darin Ruf called up

Today the Phillies called up minor league prospect OF/1B Darin Ruf to the big leagues. He led the minors with 38 home runs this year, 20 of them in August. At 26, he is a late bloomer like Ryan Howard. Go Phillies!

    Phillies resign Hamels

For $144 mil for 6 years. Great move by the Phillies. The Phillies usually don't make moves like this but this was a no-brainer. Hamels getting a standing ovation from a packed house in his last start was the clincher for him. The 2008 World Series MVP wants to retire a Philly and now it looks...

    Thome #610

Jim Thome hit bomb #610 Fri. night to help the O's beat the Indians 10-2 and move him past Sammy Sosa for 7th on the all-time home run list. A class act, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Gary

    Did you know...

When Zack Grienke starts for the Brewers later today he will have started the last 3 games the Brewers have played. It will be the 1st time a pitcher has started 3 games in a row for a team in the same season since 1917. Really strange how this came about. Gary

    Thome #609

Congrats to Jim Thome on hitting home run #609 Sat., a walk off home run to help the Phillies beat the Rays. The home run ties Sosa at #7 on the all-time home run list. With the home run Thome passed Foxx, Mantle, Musial, Robinson, and Ruth for the most walk-off home runs ever, with 13. Gary
