I bought the Yaz in 1992 to start the whole thing. Then I left it sit for 15 years. Worked on it in 2007 till I was half way. Got back to work on it this summer. Finished it Sunday.
I am putting together the whole set, and am about 30% complete. Mostly ex or better. But a few that are...
I really like this subset from the 1960 Topps set. I just picked up the final 3 cards this weekend. A total of 32 cards. The 1960 set is not as loved as the 59 or 61, but for some reason I like the horizontal pics that year.
The big Rookies here are:
Frank Howard $25
Jim Kaat $40

I ran in to the same problem with them in the past. Get a bunch of cards together only to be told they were higher priced than I thought they should be. I have also heard the "moved" signs excuse.
They do sell a ton of stuff, but be careful.

Welcome, I hope you find The Bench to be all you hoped for.
I also hope you understand what people are telling you. No one asked you to be ashamed of anything you did when you were 12. We all did things in our past that we would not do now. Difference is most people do not introduce...
In the past there have been a few dealers with quarter boxes. There are also mid level tables and the high price stuff.
I moved on from a backpack at these big shows, I am now up to a suitcase on wheels. I have a small one and a large one. I have only used the large 1 time. I knew I...
Very possible. Almost the whole 1981 Donruss baseball set was photographed either in Chicago or Milwaukee. Not sure where Donruss was based then, but they are in the Dallas area now. So the same theory could hold true.
I was hoping somebody had a link to a story or something that talked...
I assumed everyone knew that this was the first year for Fleer Basketball. But I guess I should have mentioned that.
So it has nothing to do with recycling photos.
Star Company had the only basketball license before Fleer.
The strange thing that Fleer did to save a nickel was take nearly...
