Isn't 50% off at Topps.com just about retail anywhere else?

    Is interest fading?

As my interests have become more and more obscure (at least as compared to people who rabidly bust cases of every new product on the market), I've found that any threads I start usually end up dying a quiet, lonely death. If I'm going to be talking to myself, I might as well just do that on my...

    Attn Sportlots dealers

My Sportlots sales have been down a bit, but there's nothing special in my inventory, so it's no surprise. I really wish the owner would do a better job of engaging the hobby instead of just the lame contests. An actual blog or news update would be a huge benefit, but instead nothing but a...

1987 Hostess, 1989 and 1992 Panini stickers wanted to complete sets

Check my Sportlots store for the Panini stickers, I've probably got most of them: http://www.sportlots.com/inven/invenbin/dealerpage.tpl?dealer=daclyde1&ref=daclyde1 Everything is up for trade. I'm looking for stuff from my want lists on my blog. Also looking for cards of Alex Presley and...

Looking for these Ozzie Canseco Items

A bit pricey for a single card from a early 1990s team set, but the Louisville Redbirds card is on eBay right now for a Buy It Now of $2.95 +2.50 s&h. But given that it's probably the last card you need, might be worth it. http://r.ebay.com/QGhltE

    Are there any other sites?

Justcommons.com is pretty good. Occasionally you find good stuff on bidstart.com. And don't forget the Beckett Marketplace.

    Custom cards

Those look really good. Better than a lot of recent professional sets. I really wish someone was producing yearly sets for the various winter leagues.

List of Star Co. Baseball Sets

Now that I have the book in front of me, here are the Trammell cards/sets listed in the 2003 Standard Catalog: 1988-89 Star Promo 1988-89 Star 1-11 (Trammell mispelled Trammel on card #4) There might be a glossy set, but they only reference the existence of glossy sets without listing any of...

Can anyone help with Chinese names?

I've found a blog and accompanying album with loads of scans and information about the early baseball cards releases in Taiwan in the 1990s, just after the Chinese Professional Baseball League started. There are enough scans and detail that I have begun the task of assembling checklists for the...

List of Star Co. Baseball Sets

The Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards is the only resource I've seen that comes close to being comprehensive. Unfortunately, when the set design changed in late 1988 through 1989, they just marked all of those as 1988-89, so it's tough to tell which year the sets should belong to. But not all...

    want to hear your opinion!

Don't lump "collectors" all in the same box as if we're all the same. I have no problem with unlicensed cards as long as they're not hideous. As to those particular cards, Obak was WAY overpriced for what they delivered and for the Panini/Donruss sets, I'm just REALLY tired of foil cards.
