The first ticket was a charity game to raise money for boys clubs. The Sox won the game 5-4. With the score tied 3-3 in the 8th inning, the Sox scored twice. The Cubs' Bob Addis hit a solo homerun in the 9th but that wasn't enough as the home team held on for the win.

Yes, the negro league autos are my favorite part of Allen & Ginter. I look forward to chasing the 5 autos this year, 1 down so far. Here's my collection of past years...
1993 Topps Black Gold ABCD Winner - Redemption Version
1993 Topps Black Gold ABCD Winner - Certified Version
The important thing is to list all 44 players by full name in the auction description so player collectors find them.
The A/B/C/D sell well, either version. They were the rarest and player collectors fight over them. 1994's sell better than 1993's and are rarer. A 1994 A/B/C/D can sell between $60-$90 if listed correctly.
A 1993 A/B/C/D recently ended at $27 I believe and there is a BIN one on eBay for...
Did you mean Coup de Grâce - a death blow?
Does this mean this is the end of your collecting? If so nice way to go out!
More of a Pièce de Résistance - a highlight or showcase of a collection - don't you think?
Nice site. I liked the Things You May Not Know About Craig Bigggio section, and your bio is very in-depth. Would love to see card scans!
Here's my latest site project: www.hackwilson.com.

Mark Grace is not a ghost signer. He signs through the mail well, and his signature is easily identifiable.
Don Zimmer is a ghost signer. His wife Jean signs for him.
Examples of their sigs are easy to find on...

Interesting historical note I noticed this year when looking at these two cards. The Grace card has swatches from the game in which Albert Pujols hit his first career MLB homerun, and the Helton card has swatches from the game in which Pujols hit his second homerun (also his first homerun at...
Don't know if it will help you or not, but I have a bunch of Mark Grace Broder-type cards scanned here. Mouse over any card for a description.

I have 36 "Guest Appearance" cards (I call them Cameo Cards, like when a movie star makes a cameo appearance in a film) where Mark Grace is the guest on another player's cards. They are all scanned here:

Loyalty32, I'm glad you enjoy my site and take it as a compliment you use it as your example of a good player collector site. www.markgrace.com has been a labor of love. It's pretty amazing I have every one of my 2500+ different Grace cards scanned now. A lot of collectors turn to my site for...
