Oh I have, haha. I just figured being the one guy out there in an Indians jersey and Browns hat, and having sprinted across a parking lot to get him (which is tough for me, even after dropping 25 pounds-- the only time the words "Drew looks like... a marathon runner" will ever remotely appear...
Ed-- I should be good on him. I was just as surprised to see he's still around. Not sure if they come in again this season, but I have a decent amount for now if I go for them.
Today: nearly quitting the hobby Friday because I hate Michael Brantley, and then getting sucked back in because of a...
See, a pun with his last name would have been too easy, so I took the more esoteric route.
MAY 12
George Bell, c/o Blue Jays ST, 4/4 including a set hit, 2 months
Considering this was the Mets' only trip here and he didn't even travel with them, I'll have to decline. And even if/when they ever come again, I have 3 set cards I need to do on him first.
Well, it's that time again. Time for my annual (mostly) baseball IP thread. It'll get more action than my crappy mostly-hockey thread. I hope.
Unless my usual outing ends up like Friday's near-pointlessness...

MARCH 20
Abdul Salaam (name means "servant of peace" in Arabic), c/o home, 2/1, 11 days
Signed my set card and also enclosed his own photo. Also took the time to tape the envelope closed AND put in an index card to protect the photo from the tape as it wouldn't quite fit perfectly inside.
MARCH 17
Al Hrabosky, c/o home, 6/3, 8 days - I sent 6 cards (2 from each team he played for) and told him to keep three. Instead he signed them all and added "The Mad Hungarian" to four!
MARCH 18
Hal Morris, c/o Angels ST, 2/2, 12 days
After failing during the season in 2014, I tried him in Spring Training...
Dave Lopes, c/o Dodgers ST, 1/2, 2 weeks
Only signed one card, but at least it was the set card!
I have a few classifications in my spreadsheet of requests. Successes are on one page (494 now). Failures-- RTS or unsigned returns-- are on another (41 of these). Anything I sent in the last six months is on another page (13). Anything 6 months to 5 years is on another list (77). And last is...
That's the risk you take. If there's a specific one you want signed, it's best just to send that one, especially if it's to a bigger name or a tough signer.
