Team collectors an AGE OLD QUESTION!

Twins uni only for me...unless it's a rookie card, such as Liriano, Young or Nathan.

Why are you not trading anymore??

The uniformity is a sticking point at my PO, which is why if it's a bubble mailer in general, it's a parcel...and costs more to ship. If I try sneaking it by on the cheap, it just ends up back in my mailbox.

Why are you not trading anymore??

I blame the Topps monopoly and I miss Upper Deck licensed products :(. I can't get too excited about some overpriced/overproduced product that somes out every few weeks or so. Online promotions, wrapper redemptions and poor QC have all rubbed me the wrong way...when I don't bust, there's not...

Can someone identify this 2009 Bowman?

http://www.checkoutmycards.com/Cards/Baseball/2009/Bowman_Draft_WBC_Prospects/BDPW24/Aroldis_Chapman If you check the scans of the back of the card, I think you have a match. Typo in either Beckett or by Topps, I guess.

    Packs vs individual cards, psychology

Busting packs certainly isn't a lucrative endeavor in most cases, but the market NEEDS people to bust so the secondary market remains plush with singles for collectors to buy up. For me, busting is just as fun as collecting, so I like to do both. Tangent warning! The more people bust, the...

Good way to display letterman nameplate

I know a few members here have put together names to display. Any tips? I'm thinking about putting together a nameplate of Twins lettermen to spell out our newborn daughter's name, Kenna, and hang it up in the nursery. Are there premade frames for this on the market? If not, are there any good...

Mailday - Got my first Griffey auto!

Thanks! I had one of those $15 for $7 groupons and with eBay bucks, it ended up costing me $20 out of my PP account for the card. Thanks! I prefer the on-card over some similarly priced sticker autos that are numbered lower. I just like the look of the card. Like many say, it looks even better...

Mailday - Got my first Griffey auto!

I've had zero luck pulling one, so I snagged this one up using some eBay bucks/credit I had burning in my pocket. Definitely a keeper for a PC!

what are your favorite baseball card sets?

Sticking with vintage I'm familiar with and just based on appearance: 1956, 1960, 1961 are my favorites 1959, 1962 are probably my least favorite

What does your LCS look like?

That shop looks awesome! I like it when the owner/manager is a talker. Same with our shop, I can easily lose track of time and end up spending a couple hours at my LCS busting and chatting with the owner/employees.

What does your LCS look like?

Same here. I've always wanted to run a business with a storefront. Either a hobby shop or a games/DVDs/electronics shop. I brought up the idea to my wife who pretty much shot it down...maybe when I can afford to quit my day job and buy the LCS outright...time to start saving! :D Shop #1 sounds...

What does your LCS look like?

Yeah. There was also one for a short time int he Moorhead center mall. Both of those shops were mostly singles and not a lot of wax, if any. I wonder if the LCS will make a comeback? Some of the card companies like UD are putting in policies to will give "brick and mortar" storefronts first...

What does your LCS look like?

That shop looks like a fun place to visit, although I doubt I'll be visiting Alaska any time soon. The seating room looks nice, and it's always great to be able to find a little bit of everything. Seating room is one thing I'd like to see at our shop, although, I do like how there's a banquet...
