Fun reads!
I've pulled around 5 TRUE 1/1s IMO:
10 Chrome Chicle Berkman Superfractor - Still have it
09 Tribute Porcello Red Dual Jsy Auto 1/1 - Still have it
07 Heritage Markakis Red Border 1/1 - Sold it for around $75 (printing plate was also in this box!)
07 Finest Moments Wright 1/1 - Sold...
Awesome box! Gotta love how Topps "spreads the love" by bunching a bunch of uber-low numbered cards in a single box. You killed the odds. I have to comment that twice in the past (both 2007 Topps products - including Finest), I've pulled 2 different 1/1s in the same box! I think this is a trend...
Very solid box. Congrats! With older product, you could have ended up with a cruddy redemption or some complete no-name RCs...instead you pull a SP Prime Patch Auto of a sure-fire HOFer and one of the best RC Autos from the set!
I would love to see a pic/scan of the Thome patch.
Hobby Lobby will sell raw materials or complete frames and will even custom frame for you, but you will want to wait until they have a 50% off sale, which happens pretty frequently.
It doesn't bother me simply because I won't buy the item if I can't see it. As a bidder, I assume what's not being shown is considered in "not acceptable" condition and move on to the next auction. Hopefully things naturally work themselves out by losing business. -Chad
Misleading titles is my main pet peeve. I'm stubborn to the point where I will avoid bidding on an item I'm interested in because it leads me to not fully trust the seller.
Congrats on the pull!
It depends on how you plan on selling it. If you're patient and wait for the right offer to roll in, you could get more out of it. If you auction it, I'd go by these ended auctions to help gauge value...
