If you read it he says he will trade for $25 in 1964 and before coins, which means silver coins (assuming he doesn't want pennies and nickles). I'm not completely up to date but silver coins go for roughly 12 times face value, so $25 in 1964 and before coins is actually worth around $300. That...- bsatttu

Question on vintage cards - cutting/shaving
I second what Jeffo said. Vintage cards can vary greatly in size, of course some sets more than others. Also, you may find quite a few "diamond cuts." Basically this is a card that went through the cutting machine at an angle, so it is not rectangular but has more of a parallelogram shape...- bsatttu

09 Collecting Goals

Milestone Finally Reached!!!
I hear ya! I'm glad I am upgrading them to at least EX, but I am done with it after this. It will be time to move on to the next big project :) The 78's were a really big help! Once I finish it and the last few 97 Topps, my Topps run from '77 to present will be done, which is my other big...- bsatttu

On my 2009 goals, my primary one was to reach 75% on upgrading my 48 Bowman set to PSA 5 or better. I only had 20 at the beginning of the year, and I didn't think I was going to do it, but someone on another site came through with SIX that I needed. Of the 48 total cards, I now have 38 in PSA...- bsatttu

I can't find where it says it, but I believe after 7 days, the seller can file a non-paying bidder complaint against you. Just a few of those will get you banned from Ebay. BCCG grades are very deceptive: BCCG 5 is "Poor or Better" A Better View BCCG 6 is "Good or Better" BCCG 7 is "VG or Better" BCCG 8 is "EX or Better" BCCG 9 is "NM or Better" BCCG 10 is "Mint or Better" Since poor is the worst grade possible, it is accurately graded according to that worthless...- bsatttu

BTW, does anyone happen to be a PSA member here? I usually buy my graded cards already graded, but have a few I would like to send in under the current registry special but not enough to justify a membership. I'd be willing to chip in some money for anyone that would send some in for me...- bsatttu
