Centering issues plagued Topps right up through the 1980s and seemed to get much better in the 90s. It always is frustrating to have multiple copies of the same vintage card and find the ones that are centered well have corner issues and the ones with corner issues are off center. That pretty...

A certain someone here who is into stoner rock has Valley of the Sun on repeat today. He is "Riding the Dunes" in more ways than one. LMAO!!! Edward Mark Vedder Stepnoski and I have several things in common. We are both Polish. Check. We are both conspiracy theorists. Check. And we...

    Hobby woes.....

I thought the feeding frenzy for new boxes ended when the Pandemic did, Guess not, I know retail stores had to lock their inventory away or keep them in a certain checkout aisle.

363 career wins! That is ill! No modern pitcher will ever top that although Maddux and Clemens came close. Difference is those two guys did not enlist in the military and miss 3 seasons during WWII. Spahn's achievements are truely astounding!

Kind of like the odd case of Bo Jackson for me. I have two 1991 Scorte baseball sets where I have 892 of 893 cards missing only a #692 Bo Jackson Master Blaster card for both. At most that would be a minor star but I cannot get one anywhere! On the flip side I have forty seven extra 1987...

I really like those Donruss QBC inserts and won't trade any away unless I have more than one. I have been looking for years for the last base card of that set which is #116 Jake Plummer. I can't pick that card up to save my life. Just another example of why I am the self proclaimed "King...

New Trade list - HOF/Retired player autos

I accidentally posted a question on the Don Maynard on your basketball topic. I'm interested in that one, the Huff and the Renfro for starters.

New tradelist - HOF/Retired and star player autos

Shoot! That was supposed to be on your football topic but I'm guessing you'll see it. If not, I'll post it there as well. I'm not sure how I did that!?!?!

Thanks for those. I know this card is incoming but does the Don Maynard look like this? I have seen ones with the same description with his 1961 Topps card but I think it is the 1973 Topps design below...

Ha! I think my sarcasim was very obvious. Like you said it's shocking that a movie was not made about this guy. Did you find out about him because of him being from your region or was that proximity coincidental?

I did read that page and besides playing professional football, winning the Congressional Medal of Honor and becoming the Lt. Governor of Arkansas, this guy really did not do much with his life. I had never heard of him before but his life story was amazing indeed.

My dad was a teacher and the other big card collector besides me in the area was also a teacher. My dad and he used to get those empty government cheese boxes to store cards in. To this day the other teacher and I STILL use tons of those boxes for card storage 4+ decades later. Oddly...

New Trade list - HOF/Retired player autos

I don't have much in the way of material you are looking for but I'll see what I have. Are you selling at all? Most of those guys were players from back in my day (Lanier, Maynard, Eller) and a bunch pre dated "my day" (Tittle, Stautner and especially Badgro). So those names really caught...

Looking for Ripken, Carlton Fisk, Jordan and Walter Payton I dont already have

I always thought that the good thing about our trades that take a looooong time to complete is very few here are interested in cards I trade for since they are almost always from last century.. Guess I was wrong about that! LOL

Brad, if you have not mailed my package out yet or packed it up where it would be a major hassle to unpack and repackage it, you can trade those cards to mm1sub and choose something else off my extensive want list I sent you to replace them. I'm in no hurry to get that package from you if it...

I cannot find out what King B's is/was to save my life! A grocery chain? Burger joint? Bakery? Convenience Store? i just cannot find a thing about them. And when it comes to oddball issues I definately put my money where my card trade mouth is. In a series of large trades with a member...
