As As an LA resident and johnny-come-lately to the Rams, I object to the negative reference to Matt Stafford. He was the difference maker for the 2021 championship - without him they don't make it, with him they do. Aaron Donald was the reason they were good, but Stafford put them over the...

Now that's a really interesting question, if limited to a collectible purchase. Maybe a 1914 Ruth RC or a Cracker Jack Joe Jackson or a Mantle rookie or a National Chicle Bronco Nagurski. Something old in the highest grade possible.

come on - the banana yellow Fleers are hands down the ugliest set in cards. And the horrendous Donruss red with black splatters are 2nd. Throw in those 86 Topps FB with the diagonal stripes over green, mash them all together, and you get really ugly 25 Donruss RR. compare it for example to the...

they chose 2 of the ugliest designs in the history of cards, mashed them together and came up with this piece of junk wax nostalgia? Yuk.

You must have been thrilled with today's game against the Chiefs. Dallas wore their throwback unis. Must have gotten you to reminiscing about the Tubbman.

My very first baseball game ever, Don Elston was the starting pitcher. It was at Wrigley against the Pirates in 1964. Tommie Sisk was the other starter. I remember it like it was yesterday. Lindy McDaniel came in as a reliever and had the highest leg kick I've ever seen.

April 13, 1962 is the one you want. It has the Mantle and Maris Post cereal cards in it. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor on the cover.

Jerry Tubbs actually had a very good career. He was 4th in the Heisman voting in 1956 as a lineman. He is in the College Football Hall of Fame. He was the first Cowboys middle linebacker. He became the linebacker coach for the Cowboys under Tom Landry for 22 years, where he went to 5 super...

Don't forget the Dolphins o-line of the 70's - Jim Langer, Larry Little and Bob Kuechenberg. Kuech is up yet again on the Hall ballot and certainly deserves enshrineemnt. And of course the Pack in the 60's with Forrest Gregg, Jerry Kramer, Fuzzy Thurston and Jim Ringo (til he fell out with...

BTW, Metal - I see your favorite receiver Otis Taylor made the cut for the senior committee. There are at least 20 worthy candidates, but only 3 slots. A shame. I'm one of those Big Hall guys.

Joe Carter should absolutely be in the Hall of Fame conversation. 396 HR, 1445 RBI, 1170 R, 231 SB, 2184 H, 5x all-star, 2x silver slugger. He's hurt a little by a lifetime BA of .259, which is Killebrew range (but Killer had something like 580 HR). But he does have one of the most iconic World...
