    I just picked one of those up a few weeks ago - minus the glasses. Speaking of drawing on cards, I have a few I did that to when I was 8 or 9. Fortunately not a '61 Clemente.

    Lenny Dykstra very infamously owned a few car wash places in the OC. I think he got caught either laundering money or evading taxes. So the stories went 30 years ago, he was notoriously bad in business.

    On the subject of pioneering black QB's, my HS had Craig Curry in the mid '60s (before I was there). He led Coral Gables to the HS national championship in '67, then went on to QB the Minnesota Golden Gophers for 3 years.

    I give the Vikings a fighting chance for the playoffs. The rest of the team is solid. With JJ, we'll have to wait and see. OTOH, I give the Boys no chance at all. They're just no good, and Dak appears to be the second coming of Tony Romo.

    I hate to disappoint you, TC ol pal, but there is no chance the Boys make the playoffs this year. And with their rookie qb, i give the Vikes equally little chance - especially with improved Bears. So y'all gonna have to wait awhile for that matchup.

    I have the 50 Bowman. I've been chasing a 55 Topps All American at a reasonable price for years. Looks like I'll have to wait until I sign that elusive million dollar contract...

    Hawk Harrelson never quite panned out the way it seemed he might. I think he had one or two really good years. But he was a heck of an announcer for the White Sox. He's responsible for "He gone!" when a Chisox pitcher recorded a strikeout. And his home run call, "You can put it on the board...

    Those 50s Landrys are very $$. I've been chasing an affordable one in acceptable condition for ages. You could always go for the 64 and 65 Phila Cowboys play cards, those are reasonable Landrys.

    You're gonna need Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard - Mr Outside and Mr Inside. Heisman '46 and '45. And I have no doubt you're already overloaded with Staubachs.

    All right, I did some looking around. The Cowboys do not have a monopoly on uniform numbers. Hall of Famers Alan Page and John Mackey, precede those guys. Also 2x All-Pro Packers and Lions TE Ron Kramer And of course, the Dolphins' own Jim Mandich (Wolverine).

    They have been doing it for years. 59 baseball is largely based on 58 football. 61 football and baseball are very similar. 65 football is identical to 64 hockey 66 football is the same as 66 hockey. 69-70 hockey has the same backs as 70 baseball.

    indeed i dug up my 69-70 Dennis Hull - the back says "Also like his brother, Dennis is a farmer in the offseason." His wikipedia page says he is a cattle farmer in Ontario.
