Great return after a LONG wait

Haven't chimed in for a while but I got a great return today after a long wait. Former A's third baseman Carney Lansford, who hasn't had a success recorded on SCN since 2008, signed my 1987 Topps for my set after a mere 741 days. For anyone interested Carney's on the trading block since I gave...

    Denied by Lark!

I saw several successes from future HOFer Barry Larkin on here several weeks ago which gave me hope that my own request, sent to the MLB Network, would return as well. It did today, but it was unsigned in my SASE. Anyone else had this happen yet?

Any one else received this from Lee Smith?

It seems that Lee Smith has headed to the TTM darkside. I received my 1987 Topps back and the note below. Too bad, although $15 for a player of Lee's caliber seems like a fair rate.

All- After a week off due to only a couple of returns, the 1987 Topps Project had a great week. Below is the link to the story which includes a great YouTube clip of everybody's favorite set-up man Charlie Kerfeld. Who doesn't love a drunken postgame interview? Better yet, Kerfeld is enjoying...

    Randy Johnson signing

Just received this email from the good people at Mill Creek Sports here in WA. Apparently Randy Johnson will be holding a signing session there from 6-7:30 on April 11. They say they are accepting mail order. The prices are ridiculous but here is the information anyway. Prices: $149 Basic Items...

Two weeks worth of 1987 Topps autos

I took a week away from writing about the Project due to a lack of production. Last week brought just three cards, so I waited another week for a few more to accumulate in hopes I would have enough to necessitate an entire article. It was close. Thanks for reading and good luck to you all this...

    My 1987 Topps Project

Everyone- I joined The Bench several months ago and in November I started a 1987 Topps project, an idea which I stole from someone on this very site. Rather than post every success on this board, I've started tracking it as part of my duties as a baseball card writer (yes, that's an actual job)...

    Curse word collection completed

I got Ripken c/o the MLB Network in August. Nettles arrived today. I sent him two cards, telling him he could keep one but he sent both back signed. Unfortunately, he signed over the offending term on one of them.
