Mark Gastineau - c/o P.O. Box in Arizona, postmarked from Trenton, NJ
21 days, 1/2 (really 1/6)

From SCN I saw that Gastineau likes to keep cards so I sent 4 extras (which he kept) and hoped to get both 84 Topps cards back for my set. Only got the Instant Replay back, so I guess I'll wait a few months and send the regular 84 Topps again. He writes on the back of each card "Not for resale or purchase"

Really? I think it's funny a no name player thinks his autograph is worth that much, haha. Nice pickup either way.

Gastineau was actually a pretty big star back in the day, Andrew. He's the 8th greatest sack artist in NFL history. To give you an idea what kind of talent he was he recorded 100 1/2 sacks in his first 100 NFL starts. He was one of the most feared players of the '80's. When he retired he was the NFL's all time sack leader. Ever hear of the New York Sack Exchange? A "no name player"? Well, now that's quite a stretch.
