Congrats on how far along you are to this point. Some of those look familiar... Haha. You keep inching closer to me everyday.

Very very nice, I'm jealous. I am slowly putting together the same set because it was the year I started collecting cards. I've only got 150-200 so far.

Just curious, what's your favorite out of all those? How have you picked up most of them...that Puckett couldn't have been easy to get.

Richard

I have a few favorites:
Sparkey Anderson (was my first one for this set...3 day wait, Got hooked right then and there)
Charlie Puelo (just a great signature)
Frank Viola (inscribed 1988 Cy Young on it)
Manny Trillo & Shawn Dunston dual card
Phil & Joe Niekro dual card
Andre Dawson (another great looking signature)
There are more but these are my favorites

The Puckett was a purchase from EBAY

Thanks for looking
Robert

How long has it taken you to get that many? Great Cards I love them... 88 and 89 I think are my favorites....heck I like 87 too... LOL

I see you have the Ken Dayley "tick" on the lower right corner of the card...! :)

By any chance do you have record on how you got Dickie Thon, Ted Simmons, and Willie Hernandez?

Thanks for posting the autographs! They're great to browse!

I got the Guillermo "Willie" Hernandez for him at a free IP signing almost 2 years ago. (Also helped him w/ Chuck Crim)

Good to see you have got this far, but you should be sending to Big Mac while he is signing TTM right now...

Dickie Thon was from Javier in Puerto Rico
Ted Simmons was from "stlcardtrader" I think
Willie Hernandez was from "tigsfan"

I have a few of these "Tick" signed cards. I wonder if he does this on purpose for tracablilty.

I think it might have something to do with tracability. You could be correct.

Some players have done things like this over the years, such as Keith Hernandez, who, when he signed TTM in the '70's, would crease the right corner of the card, as I recall. He did that to me in '76, and in '77. Weird.

the tony gwynn cards look the best ;)
Nah. I'm partial to the Wally Backman. :)

Robert - Not sure if it's too rich for your interests, but Bob Gibson can be had for $35 through a private Tom Orr signing next month. He only has 50 spots available.

Also, I've seen TTM successes with Dave Stieb.
