I recently came across a hoard of these somewhat unique disks and am trying to get more information on. I know that there are several different variations (Key Food, Superstar, Tetley, Our Own Tea) but the Weis Winners seem to be rather rare. The couple of unseparated panels that have sold on ebay have been quite expensive by modern card standards.

I have an entire 1989 set of 10 unseparated panels. I also have several unseparated 1988 panels and a bunch of loose singles. Does anyone know anything more about them or have an idea what their value/demand is in unseparated form or of a complete set?

Thanks for your help

Your first link goes no where.
Your second link goes to this Will lark auction, which is not an MSA disc: WILL CLARK 1987 Fleer Box Bottom #M2 --- San Francisco Giants

Your third and fourth links require an account to log in.

The Weiss Disc's are very tough to find. I'm a former hardcore Andre Dawson Collector and it took me YEARS to find one! I would keep the panels intact and let the player collector's fight over them on eBay. Good luck with them!

Thanks
Craig

*If they are in really good shape, I'd look into seeing if PSA grades them. The Registry folks would probably go hard for them

Thanks for the advice... I have never submitted a card for grading before so I checked the PSA registry and not a single "Weis Winner" disk has been submitted for grading at this time. Some of the other variations of the 1989 MSA discs have been submitted in either single or panel form.

1989 Msa Iced Tea Discs -
Bedrosian-15/Ripken Jr.-16 (3-Disc Perforated Panel)

1989 Super Stars Discs -
David Cone/Don Mattingly (Panel)

1989 Tetley Tea Discs -
#12 Kirby Puckett
#12 Kirby Puckett
#20 Dale Murphey
Cal Ripken Jr./Steve Bedrosian (Panel)

Nothing from the Our Own Tea, Key Food or Weis Winner sets have been submitted. My question is this... If I submit these discs for grading will they then become required additions for any Player Registry Master Collection irregardless of condition?

cguidi - I'm not sure on that to be honest. You should check out the forums at PSA. I'm sure someone there can give you the correct answer. Here is a link...

After you click the link, scroll down to the bottom center to see the different forums. I would try the Community Message Board or the PSA Set Registry Forum first.

Thanks
