Press Pass enters the high-end market with 2011 Fan Fare. Fan Fair is a $160 a box product that delivers the goods. The base cards themselves are easy to organize as they are in alphabetical order by driver last name. The hits are what drive the product though. Two huge pluses for me are that every hit is serial numbered and all of the autos are on-card. The card design and layout are superb. Some of the relic cards are really thick. Think 'Sweet Spot' thick. For all of the good points Fan Fair offers, even with a big hit, collectors may find a hard time trying to 'flip' the cards to break even on a pack or box, let alone make money. One drawback is that the gold foil on the base cards seems to chip and flake off easily.
The Bottom Line:
I give 2011 Press Pass Fan Fare a buy rating. As with any high-end product, do not buy Fan Fare expecting to pull a complete set anytime soon. If you are looking for a fun rip with guaranteed hits in every pack, then 2011 Press Pass Fan Fare is for you!

Press Pass sent me this box to review for Baseball Digest. I am also offering the base and insert cards to members of The Bench for a SASE.
Thanks to Press Pass for making this review possible!
