I am like most, I redeem the Diamond Giveaways when I get them. I honestly didn't realize that these were listed on Beckett! I just traded for the Nolan Ryan, redeemed. My question is, are they worth the beckett value if they're redeemed? I just pulled the Nolan Ryan, and i'm not going to redeem it. However, I want to trade the redeemed ones...any opions are welcomed! Thanks in advance,

Josh

I dont think redeeming it could devalue the card. I mean your not destroying the card and it will always be a card of that player. hummmm.....

Think about it like this.....how would one determine if it was redeemed or not? If you punch in the code to check, then you just redeemed it if it wasn't already!:)

The BV is for the card itself.....not the code. However, I sense that these cards are EXTREMELY overvalued in card form - the codes are driving up the price. Once the promotion is over, I can see a .50 or lower value for each.

I have to agree with this. Sure glad they didn't put Ripken on one of these!

Also, after the promotion expires, the code is worthless anyway, so I can't see whether the code was redeemed affecting long-term value.

what are they like 1 in 6 packs? What does a semi/super star go for from that set? Don't you think they would be valued around $1-$2.50 without the code. The only thing that stinks about them is the tiny player picture with the huge promotion. Not very attractive cards for a collection. I am saving all mine with the cards I unlock and going to have them authenticated (some way) to make them, and the nickle cards I've unlocked more appealing down the road.
