I never buy football anymore, but I was at a show today and someone had hobby boxes for $45, which is pretty cheap. hdjstuff was nice enough to send me the Giants base from his review box break, and I think they look nice, so I grabbed a box and figured I'd try to put the set together.
I ended up pulling a 1984 style Michael Floyd Auto /100 and a John Elway big heavy bronze coin card /75. Pretty cool!
Once I get the base sorted I'd be happy to trade my various inserts for the rest of the base I need.
Edit: There have been 4 Floyd Autos on eBay, and they all sold for about $50. I listed mine with a BIN of $50 at 8:30 tonight and it sold in 16 minutes. Yay free box!
