2014 Heritage Case break

Hey Gang -

Got my Heritage case today. WOO HOO!! So far I have busted 3 boxes. 2 autos and a 1965 nickel were the big hits. One of the autos was red #d to 65 and the other was Dallas Green. I have also already hit the purple chrome box - one purple chrome card in every pack. Names in there like Jeter and Puig so I was pretty happy. I will post the full results when I have finished opening - probably some time tomorrow. Then comes the sorting.

Have fun busting! Who was the auto #'ed/65?

I will answer the question first - the #d/65 auto is Larry Yellen - Houston Astros. Boxes 4, 5 and 6 all yielded jersey cards - Julio Teheran, Justin Verlander and Drew Stubbs. It also yielded a black chrome (#d/65) Manny Machado - YES!!!!

Box 7 box topper was a gold embossed giant card. But it was even better - it is a Johnny Bench bat card #d 05/25. WOO HOO!!

The big hits from boxes 7,8 and 9 (aside from the Bench bat card) - Moustakas and Bautista jersey cards, Bud Daley (Indians) auto and Wil Myers mini (#D/100). Also, at the 3/4 mark of the case it appears that all 5 base insert sets are complete so I am pleased.

What are you referring to - the regular inserts or the box toppers? I did pull a gold embossed Johnny Bench Bat card (#d 02/25) as a box topper. Are there other gold embossed cards I should be looking for?

There are regular gold inserts and those are said to be rare. I'm sure the Bench will be a better than most hit too.

Guys -

Still sorting. Got about half done. In the first 199 numbers I have 1 of the SSPs. Also found that there are 2 #137 - Game 6 and Anthony Gose - and no #138. Also found a grey back card. Not sure exactly what that is. Is it like last year's black back Venezuela cards?
