How can you tell the difference between blue and Carolina blue, both are not #'d ?

I opened a mega box that included the Carolina blues, so I havent seen the regular blue but the carolina ones look like a light blue

I think you are right, after posting this I went on ebay and the regular blue looks darker. These parallels are a mess to figure out, reminds me of the old pacific days.
