220 cards set last year and 300 this year. Means harder to get the MVP buy back cards. Plus Fanatics has raised the prices on all of the products! They hurting the mom and Pop hobby stores by cutting back on their pre-orders. If a store orders 2 cases of a product....Fanatics only allows them one case! Where does it go?? Fanatics Live! Their slowly cutting off the hobby stores! So that in the future...u can only get the products from retail or them. I'll be getting a hobby box from my local hobby store to support them and hopefully they can get some of the retail blasters. Best regards, David

I noticed the decline in hobby stores by looking at some of the new release calendars. Their offers of Topps & Bowman baseball products is very thin. Also the Cardboard Connection release calendar is also thin. There's a new game in town.

I bought a new Dodgers hat this week. I ordered it from a page that connects to mlb.com. Maybe is was still mlb.com. Anyway, they have 96 different Dodgers hats. I one I bought has an unnecesary F on the side. Appantly the hat is produced by Fanatics. Although most of them were not from Fanatics. I found the pefect hat except for that darned F.

Getting ready for the Topps Chrome .....looks like every product from Blasters to Hobby is going up in cost....only one the monster boxes is staying the same price of $65.00 .....I;m already locked in with my hobby store....their pre-orders were cut in half.....but I asked them to try to get some blasters and they got lucky with two cases of blasters....40 blasters per case. So Im getting one hobby Chrome box and 7 Blasters from them. Support your local hobby stores as they will be running on less as Fanatics has cut the amount they regular order in half. It's nothing new. Economy is bad, Big Screen TVs are a steal but that's not what people need. Discretionary spending on 2nd market will be a steal.

Its not the economy! Fanatics has increased the price for the last few years....but decreasing the number of cards and increasing the cost. This year they have increased the number of players in the se and increase the cost again! This is why the Sherman act....came into play because companies (remember PG&E had control of the energy from the west coast to the east coast....so Sherman Act forced them to break up their holdings...and smaller PG&E or little bells came to be. The Monopoly allows them to charge any price as their the only company making licenses baseball cards. Panini makes baseball cards but they cannot use the logos and names of the teams. They can use Prospects or retired players. Spending on the 2nd market or retail is not a steal....Blasters have gone from 20.00 to 30.00 and now their $40.00/$45.00....Plus because of the increase of players in the Topps Chrome from 220 to 300...u will have to buy 12 to 15 blasters and u will still be short of complete set because of all of the inserts. I hope you purchase groceries. The cost of everything has gone up, while discretionary spending is hampered.
