I just received a package of 1984 Albany A's TCMA cards from an eBay purchase.

I always love picking up these packs because you really never know what you are going to get in them, and the style is so vintage and rough, just like the minors. These are the same types of awkward "action" shots of the 60's and 70's but the color always seems off like they didn't know how to match up ink with card stock.

Where else can you get cards of such legends as John "The Rock" Liburdi featuring an epic mustache, or Bat Boy Erik Bernard, and there are always a few guys who ended up having nice careers in the show.

Enjoy the epicness of these cards!

Ha! I know what you are talking about with those early minor league cards. The same holds true for me when I picked up a bunch of CBA basketball cards from the early 80s and was reminded of some of the more obscure players from the past. The one that comes to mind for me was Ulysses U.S. Reed who was quite a player fro Arkansas in the late 70s that showed up in that lot. I had forgotten all about him!

Do you know if there is a minor league team in Albany, NY? I used to listen to WGY AM and do not recall ever hearing about a team there which is strange given the size of the market.
