Found one of those commemorative Joe D AL balls on ebay for 4 bucks, took off the Andy Phillips sig on it with magic eraser and sent it to a man that played with the great Joe..One week later it returned..

Nice! Did Red require a fee? And what address did you use on Hubbard? I tried him a while back (a few years) and got nothing.

No fee for Red. Bobby Winkles paid off again here. Winkles managed the lowly '77 A's and Red was a coach there. Plus I played baseball with Mike Jorgensen's kid in hs and Jorgensen was on that A's team as well as being in the STL front office for years. If I could get him to open the letter, I had a pretty good chance...I'm now 2-2 with Red.
