Hey, all. I've been having a lot of fun with TTM and IP hunting and this is really the first off-season I'm experiencing. Is there a "rhythm" to the TTM year? (I certainly understand that the IP won't happen for a while. =) ) I am guessing that most current players won't receive requests sent to the teams and may not sign as much. I'm imagining that I will focus on retired guys for the next few months. I'm betting it might be a good idea to build up Spring Training requests so I can send them as that time starts.

Do you folks have any other ideas about this?

I agree with you.
I have been TTMing for years. When the season is over, most of the cards you never got back, wont come back.
A few guys will finish up their fan mail before ST.
Now is when I send out to retired guys, and gather cards for next year.

You may have some luck with former major leaguers who are in the front office positions with ballclubs. The off-season is likely just as busy as Apr - Sept with retooling their team for the following year.
