AA Action on Saturday plus 2 TTM

Not a bad night...Walked up and got a free ticket to Grand Prairie vs St Paul in the AA Championship series. GP won 3-2 in 11 to force a game 4(best of 5)...

Here is the haul(all before game)

Ryan Patterson 17/17--When explaining I had several cards(mort sent me these from Ryan's days in New Hampshire)..Ryan said, "it's cool, not many people want my autograph, so I have no problem signing everything...

Ole Sheldon 3/3(Ole and George were signing for me at same time. Tsamis is the manager, Sheldon asked who would win if Tsamis was throwing against him...totally put me on the spot, I said, right now?? you, Ole, George is 44 yrs old...I dont think that was the answer he was looking for)...

Bill Stoneman 3/3(he also included his no-hitter dates on two different cards)
Will Clark 1/1(love the Rangers card!!)

The AA dudes are very awesome..once again, it is the championship series and I was the only one before game getting any cards signed. Knowing their names, etc really helps and they all come over one by one and sign everything I hand them. It's definitely not the bigs but these guys are amazingly fan-friendly and I am always very appreciative of their hospitality...

congrats! 17/17 that has to be a record! i sometimes wish that i had AA instead of AAA because sometimes guys develop an attitude and dont sign as much once they get here to AAA...also i hope this means my will clark will come back soon...when did you send it?

Jeff, i probably should have explained better. This is American Association Indy ball..so these guys used to play minors(or majors like Jennings)..but they are not affiliated with any teams...

the Air Hogs are down 2 games to 1 in the champ series against St Paul. They are up 10-3 right now and should they win, they would force a deciding game 5 tomorrow. Jennings would probably pitch that game and it would the very final one of the season...

oh cool...I don't have any of those types of teams around me either...it'd be cool to go see a game though and get some graphs...I think next summer I'm going to try and get to as many stadiums in and around PA as I can

Great pick ups! Glad you could put all the leftover Ryan Patterson cards to use! I remember when he came up through the Blue Jays minor leagues I went out and got a bunch of his cards hoping he'd become a great outfielder for Toronto. Then he was released, went to Indy ball, and the rest is Chris' story...!
