For the last 24 hrs,i have had a popup saying that some of my plugins are outdated?I have no idea what this means and motzilla has temporary disabled my old version of Java and wants me to download the new version.

Any help with this plugin think would be great.

Well, what version of Java are you running? It should show up in your Add/Remove Programs. Anything older than Java 6 is pretty old and needs to be uninstalled and replaced with the current version (available at java.com).

There are a LOT of security updates released for each Java version. Java 6 is currently on build 34 (Java 7 is already up to build 5). Most of the updated builds are released to address security issues. Java has an automatic update feature you can find on the Java Control Panel interface. If you don't have it enabled, you might want to go ahead and do that and let it pull the latest for you.
