Anyone every send to anyone and have had success in sending to players in care of the baseball HOF?if so, do you just address the envelope to the generic baseball hof address? i ask because i have never sent to a player c/o the HOF. thanks

I personally have not done it but I have seen other collectors do it. Usually collectors will do it for HOFers who aren't very good at TTM requests to their home, figuring that the HOFer will open mail that comes from the HOF. I have also seen requests sent to a team's alumni association in hopes of getting a response from the player. I know that the Pittsburgh Pirates have a very strong and active alumni association and will forward mail to players through the alumni association. I have sent a request to the Pirates Alumni Association for Kent Tekulve because he is the current president of that Alumni Association.

That's how it was done back in the day, as the Hall forwards the mail to the players. However, very few sign c/o Hall these days. Some even refuse the forwarded mail. If you want to try it send to the player...

I've had several successes sending to NFL players via the Football HOF.

It's worth a shot if you don't send anything you don't mind losing!
