Autograph question

Have a chance to acquire a J.J. Hardy signature through a private signing with Waukesha Sports Cards next month. Most of my Hardy cards are in sets and I've made the decision to not get those signed. I do have a 2014 Topps shappire #/25, but not sure if I should look for a different one, or pick one up before the signing. This would take JJ off my auto needs list. Thoughts?
