Billy Loes passes with little fan fare

I just discovered tonight that Billy Loes, former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher, died on July 15th. He was 80 years old. Another of the fast fading Boys of Summer has received the ultimate call-up!

I wrote about it two days ago. Loes lived near me in Queens. I always wanted to pay him a visit but I never could go and ring his bell.
