He lives in California so if I were in his situation I would do just that.
Rather be a millionaire then get all that stuff but not really be able to use the tickets since I live on the other side of the country.

That is awesome!! Definitely have to take the cash. 20 years of Pirates tickets becomes less appealing when you know Skenes is gone in less than 5.

Would be great publicity for the Buccos if they fly the kid in for a weekend and setup a suite with Livvy for a Skenes start anyway - regardless of what he does with the card. And I would load him up with Bucco swag to go back to LA with as well, make the kid and his family WANT to be fans!!

Yeah, You really think Skenes Will be gone in5 and he will ditch the Pirates?
I would love the Phillies to get him but everyone wants to sign with the yankees and the Dodgers right now.

If he can sell them. It would also be a good idea to hold onto for a few years and see if it gains any value.

Taxes. The guy probably is looking ahead to a possible tax bill down the road. Dont know if it matters much but it could be the same as winning a large sum of money or a sweepstakes tax wise.

Give me 30 games worth of Pirates games in 1 season - but only 1 at PNC Park. The other 29 - you fly me and 3 guests to a Pirate away game in each of the other 29 cities and get me seats behind home plate. The 1 Pirate home game is spent in Livvy's suite. Hook me up with a whole lotta Skenes and Livvy and other Pirates greats swag. And finally, $250k cash. Not like they are spending it on player development and acquisition.

They won't know until they ask. Always easier to negotiate back down, than to get something better than your initial offer.
