Well I'm 83 and haven't been in a sports card shop in years. Just going through a nearby shop and having to pickup a couple card holder items. Just a guess but the small store was probably 10' ft X 40'. the place was filled with full sets of all sports in original boxes. The owner was with a customer so I just took my time browsing . I didn't have too much time but I will have to stop again when I'm passing through . Just nice to see one open in this area. Mass. used to be loaded with shops 40 years ago. Just sharing. Easy Mike

My local card shop is 40 miles away. I haven't been in over 5 years. Sometime before that, they converted to a mail order business only. At first, I could still go in the shop and talk to the guy, but the last attempt, they wouldn't even unlock the door. So, there is no place to buy supplies in my area. There have been some smaller shops that have lasted a short period of time, and they had little to offer. One of them may still be open, but the last time I was in one, they had only 2 display cases and no hobby boxes. My only real source is online now.

Is the store in Athol Mike?

I did live in Barre. I think i have been to that shop in Gardner. The Rietta Flea market was always a good place to pick up cards also. But it is A LOT of walking.
The old Gardner shop was in a building that was torn down several years ago. I didn't know if he was open somewhere else but they just redid almost all of downtown Gardner and this guy popped up in a bran new store right in the center of town. I don't know if Rietta Flea Market is still open, I haven't been down that was in years.
I remember that you gave me a nice looking Ted Williams card at Market Basket. I passed it on to a friend's young son . I guess being 83 I can still remember so old things. Just don't ask me why I went down the cellar for something, I have to stop and think what the heck I went down for. lol
Take Care, Mike
