You always mourn the loss of someone at such a young age, especially a person who had the ability to touch the lives of many others with simple actions. This loss hit closer to home for me not because I am a Cardinals fan, but because of the 2 minutes Taveras spent with my daughter back in 2012 at a Springfield Cardinals game. After the game, he came over to my daughter and not only gave her an autographed ball, but took a very nice picture with her. She was hoping to get this pictures autographed also, but instead it will be going to the memorial at Busch Stadium this weekend. RIP Oscar and girlfriend.
