An amazing list of players signing this month. Hall of Famers Yount and Ford!!! Jose Canseco and Dale Murphy highlight over 40 players in this months signings!! You hockey fans have several players to choose from too. Check out the list there is probably someone you need!! http://www.chrispottersports.com/april-11th-signings

Even if some of the prices still seem a bit high for commons (I know why, but it just is sometimes too hard for me to stomach some of the prices just because they don't sign much...these are the kind of team/set collector nightmare guys, because team & set collectors are probably the only ones who even want some of them), it might help prevent this!

I wouldn't mind getting Sudakis, Whitfield, D. Sax, Auerbach and Darwin on a Dodger item or two, but too rich for me still given the caliber of player.

i think the prices are reasonable for example, dave sax is signing for $10. dave sax played in only 9 games for the dodgers (2 games in 1982 and 7 games ) with only 10 at bats for the dodgers and only has one regular dodger card to his name(84 donruss) and special edition card (1990 target) my point with this is, for someone that only has one dodger card issued and only played 9 games for the dodgers, chances are it was hard to get an autograph of his at dodger stadium. then you had to actually find a 84 donruss card of him (if you wanted his auto in a dodger uniform), i havent seen any success for any ttm auto requests from him and you hardly ever(ive never seen one) see an auto of him on ebay in a dodgers uniform (they are all in red sox uniform) so my choices are to pay $3-4 for his auto on ebay in a red sox uniform(which i would always be looking to upgrade to a dodgers uniform), or send in $10 and get that hard to get dodgers auto. for me personally since i specialize in dodger autos and have been working on my dodgers auto project for almost 40 years, would be to just pay for his auto, whatever the price is, so i can check him off my want list and move on to the next player. i wouldnt pay the same price for someone like alejandro pena or mariano duncan or pedro guerrero, that i can get on ebay for a dime a dozen, but for the harder to get guys, i think it is a great deal. especially since i know how hard it is to get certain dodger players autos. just my 2 cents worth.

I got this in my email this week from Chris Potter Sports. "Due to an overwhelming response to our April signings, we have extended the deadline until May 26th." This gives anyone who wanted to get in on these players an extended chance to get your items in!!

That was my first thought looking at the lists. I just went to a show a few weeks ago with a pretty big autograph lineup, and passed on them all because Fisk was $69, Gary Carter was $59, and pretty much everyone else was $25 or $29. I figured to get a 1982 Topps Fisk IA signed and authenticated, I'd be at $89, plus a $6 admission fee and at least $5 in gas to get there, I'd pretty much be into the card for $100, when I found the same card online for $40 BIN +$1 s/h. Then there was the $29 for Keith Atherton, just way too much to pay for that caliber of a player.

Unless you know the players signing habits, and a fair price for it, it's too easy to overpay. I picked up Ed Roebuck for $6. I don't know much about players signing habits aside from checking out what's on ebay, so I'm always hesitant to spend more for a 'common' player than I do for many HOF/All Star types

He may have 8x10's of the players, you'd have to check with him. That maybe a way to get him in M's uni. Or of course one of the guys who does customs could make a Ginter card for him or something else cool to get signed!!

I have Dodger cards signed if that would work for you.

Gonna need Dave Hansen for the Mariners collection. He has no cards so I'll have to figure out what to send him.

I know for me, having players in a Dodger uniform is always better than any other, but I won't overpay just for the uniform. Some guys would require tracking down some obscure photo or using a Target card or maybe a custom. I'd rather have a nice vintage card signed in a different uniform most of the time.
